A report has found that negative attitudes towards mental illness are one of the main barriers to recovery. Kaye asks: what can be done to reduce the stigma of mental illness?

The Scottish "See Me" campaign and the Scottish Recovery Network this week published a report which has found that negativity and stigma surrounding mental ill-health, even from health professionals, contributes greatly to feelings of hoplessness and lack of self-worth amongst those with mental ill-health, and can even act as a barrier to recovery.

Kaye talks to people who have experienced stigma and discrimiation because of mental ill-health and asks what we can all do to reduce bad attitudes to mental illness.
