Kaye Adams asks how worried we should be about cannabis. The British Lung Foundation believe there is a large gap between public perception of the risks, and their own research.
The British Lung Foundation have published a report suggesting a 'dangerous' lack of public understanding of the health risks of cannabis.
They claim that the a third of the general public don't believe smoking cannabis is harmful to health.
This rises to over 40% amongst those aged under 35.
According to their research, a cannabis cigarette is 20 times more likely to cause lung cancer than a tobacco cigarette.
Despite this, they claim that 88% of the public believe tobacco cigarettes pose the greater risk.
