Running for almost a decade, Book Slam is a cultural institution. Over the years, some of the UK's finest writers, poets and music artists have graced the Book Slam stage including Nick Hornby, David 'One Day' Nicholls, David 'the Wire' Simon, William Boyd, Zadie Smith, Plan B, Kate Nash, Paloma Faith, Adele, Simon Armitage, KateTempest and Luke Wright, among many others. They have recently published their first anthology 'One for the Trouble', a collection of music-inspired short stories and poetry by Book Slam alumni including Irvine Welsh, Kate Tempest, Simon Armitage, Jon McGregor and Hari Kunzru.
