At 1, Should a mother wearing the niqab have been banned from a parents evening?
The incident happened after forty year old Maroon Rafique refused to take her veil off. She was told by staff at The Manchester College face coverings weren't allowed for security reasons. What do you make of this story? Does the college's dress code sound reasonable? Or do you think they could and should have made an exception for Mrs.Rafique?
Keep it or Leave it - Women having to change their first names once they marry.
Through speaking to people, we have found that lots of people change their daughter in-laws' names once they marry and join their families. This isn't done via deed poll but just within the family. But why is this happening? We've been told it could be because the name isn't compatible or because someone in the family already has that name. So, should this tradition continue?
Call Nihal and tell him what you think.
