Liz is joined by illusionist and writer Derren Brown. Since his first TV show in 2000 he has enjoyed huge success and has become a household name. His TV and stage shows contain performances of mind reading and other acts of playing with the mind. Although his act gives the appearance of psychic or paranormal practises, he says he has no such abilities. He states at the beginning of his Trick of the Mind programmes that he achieves his results using a combination of "magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship".
