British Pakistanis proudest to be British.

Naresh Puri sits in for Nihal. Are British Pakistanis prouder to be British than any other ethnic group? Plus Keep It or Leave It: the custom of calling your in-laws 'mum and dad'.

At 1, Naresh Puri sits in for Nihal and he's asking 'Are British Pakistanis prouder to be British than any other ethnic group?'

In a survey by the Institute for Social and Economic Research 40,000 UK households were asked how important on a scale of one to 10, being British was to them.

Pakistanis scored the highest with an average of 7.76 with Bangladeshis and Indians coming second and third respectively.
Does this come as a surprise to you? And if so, is that only because the perception people have of the Pakistani community has been distorted by negativity within the media? Is it your duty to identify with your heritage over your nationality? Should your religion always come first? Or do you think that if you're born and bred in the UK you should always put that first?

Later, 'Keep it or Leave it' the custom of calling your in-laws 'mum and dad'

Naresh has two guests in the studio, they'll be debating whether its time to stop calling your partner's parents your 'mum and dad'. Do you think its an odd custom exclusive to Asians? Or is calling your in-laws 'mum and dad' the ultimate sign of respect towards them? Call Naresh and tell him what you think.
