Muslim athletes fasting during Olympics.
Naresh Puri sits in for Nihal and asks: is it insensitive to host the Olympics during Ramadan? Plus guru Mike Rutherford answers your car-related questions.
At 1, Naresh Puri sits in for Nihal and he'll be asking 'Is it insensitive to host the Olympics during Ramadan?'
With Ramadan nearing and the Olympics starting next week over three thousand athletes will have to decide whether or not to fast. Athletes speaking to the Asian Network are divided over what they'll do - some will observe the month in the usual manner whilst others will make amends at a later date.
Is it justifiable for athletes not to fast if they are competing? Or should the Olympics have been scheduled at a different date so it didn't clash with Ramadan?
Later in the show its time for this week's Guru. Mike Rutherford will be with Naresh to answer all of your car related questions. Do you need some tips about the best family car on the market? Do you need to trade in your old banger for a new car but are clueless about which one to purchase? Get in touch.
