The Hawk chatted briefly to Ska legend and reggae trombonist Rico Rodriguez; as part of 6 Music celebrates: 50 Years of Jamaican Independence, which starts tomorrow.

Rico Rodriguez has worked with many different musicians and producers over the years, including Prince Buster and Karl Pitterson to name just a couple.

With the birth of 2 Tone in the late 1970's; Rico also played with The Specials, on their 1979 hit 'A Message To You, Rudy'. He also played on the original version written and performed by Dandy Livingstone.
