Frisky and Mannish

Shaun delivers witty northern wisdom, tunes to gladden the heart and another wriggly Earworm, plus Nick Cave picks a tune and comedy duo Frisky and Mannish join in the fun.

Shaun Keaveny takes a rib-tickling satirical romp through the day's news and events, with a perfect morning soundtrack that includes a song chosen by Nick Cave.

Nick has contributed to Shaun's Touch Me In The Morning feature, so tune in to find out which song makes the Australian musician and screenwriter feel emotional.

Plus friends of the show Frisky and Mannish join Shaun after 9am. Frisky and Mannish is the comedy cabaret creation of Laura Corcoran and Matthew Floyd Jones. As they stumbled across a compendium of the last 20 years of pop, they wondered if they could get away with singing some songs without ruining the theme of the night.

So they had a go at Madonna's Papa Don't Preach, and it became an aria. I Would Do Anything For Love by Meatloaf became a lullaby, Eye of the Tiger became bluegrass, and Come On Eileen a heartfelt ballad. What they were doing was so wrong but yet so right!

They have become a "global phenomenon" (Times), performing in London's West End, New York, Berlin, Melbourne, New Zealand, Adelaide, Singapore, Perth, and at the Sydney Opera House. And they join their biggest fan to chat about their new tour - Extra-Curricular Activites.
