Sharon urges Phil to take comfort in his businesses, sympathising that she’s been at rock bottom, too. On Bridge St, Ian sees Michael harassing Lucy and suggests selling the stall to pay his loan. Phil opens the Arches, faltering as he finds photos of Ben and Shirley. Later, he encounters Ian, who’s depressed at losing the stall and wondering if it’s karma. Phil tells Ian to get a grip but, later, rips down the stall’s ‘for sale’ sign, promising to find a buyer for the flat; Ian needs the stall. Phil heads determinedly into the Vic, hands the whiskey to Fat Boy and strides behind the bar. Sharon’s pleased - Phil’s back.
