With Tim Key

Shaun's satirical romp through the day's news comes wrapped in a snuggly duvet of kicking alternative tunes old and new, plus he chats to comedian Tim Key.

Has a song wiggled its way into your tired brain overnight? Don't fret! It's only an Earworm. Shaun can provide immediate relief and release from that little beastie of a tune rattling around your head and, who knows, he just might pick yours to play if you share it with him this morning.

You can also nominate a tune for Shaun's ever-popular Song of Praise which invites a listener to evangelise about something they find wonderful.

Comedian Tim Key joins after 9am to chat about his new show. After three sell out years at the Edinburgh Festival, highly successful London runs and tours that went down a storm, Tim Key is touring his new show bringing his confused procession of idiosyncratic poetry and prose to venues across Britain.

Tim Key is a 35 year-old (poet comedian and bookwriter) who works in the broad arenas of poetry, comedy, general, film and bookwriting. His first book sold out almost immediately (small print-run) and led to him becoming the resident poet on Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe (大象传媒4) and Newswipe (大象传媒4) shows (ever-so cool). He also became resident poet on Mark Watson's radio show (Radio 4) and has since gone on to do loads of other cool stuff (see above) he has had his poetry published in Vice magazine (niche) and Reader's Digest (different niche).

Key (still 35) works the live circuit and integrated pieces from this new won Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2009 and since then has continued to write poetry and relax on his roof.

Plus, Up-to-the minute music news comes courtesy of news horse (and former Menswear drummer) Matt Everitt, while Shaun keeps listeners apprised of the day's lighter news stories and occasional ridiculousness.
