The Gates is 大象传媒 Radio Scotland's exciting new sketch show set among the parents who gather to collect their children from school. The show is presented as a documentary parody and features strong characters like 'Linda' whose is obsessed with celebrity and Ida MacGinlay who has old fashioned ideas of discipline. The series is written and presented by Pauline Goldsmith, Vivien Grahame and Jo Jo Sutherland - three women with years of experience in the comedy scene in Scotland. Each episode touches on real issues around parenting and is a weird, wonderful and entertaining as life at the school gates can be. In week one the introductory show looks at discipline and time out for holidays.
