Immigrants British Sadiq Khan

Nihal whether immigrants are prouder to be British than people born here. Plus presenter and author Kristiane Backer joins him in the studio.

At 10am, are immigrants prouder to be British than people born here? And have British Asians lost pride in being British?

MP Sadiq Khan has said that immigrants arriving to this country often know more about its history and culture than people born here. He said it was frustrating to see newcomers having to sit citizenship tests when a lot of people from this country knew very little about British history. Do you agree with him? Do you think you'd struggle to pass a citizenship test if you had to take it? Are first generation British Asians - ones who were immigrants themselves -prouder than their children and grand children about being British?

After 11, presenter and author Kristiane Backer will be joining Nihal in the studio to discuss her new book, "From MTV to Mecca". It's the autobiographical story of her journey to Islam after being invited by the cricketer Imran Khan to Pakistan. She found found herself hugely affected by the country's religion and culture.
