Fred catches up with space cowboy Steve Miller, discovers the magic of maps with author Simon Garfield, and goes in search of an adrenalin rush - on a farm in Fife!

Felix Baumgartner may have experienced an out-of-this-world adrenalin rush on Sunday, but if you fancy a buzz, we've got some suggestions for some more earthly, blood-pumping pursuits all over Scotland.

...and our reporter/guinea pig Richard Cadey will be getting his own highs... at a farm in Fife, as he attempts some hovercrafting for us!

You can call him the Space Cowboy, the Gangster of Love. or even Maurice. But his real name is Steve Miller - and we'll hear how he overcame a broken neck and sold more than 30 million records in a career spanning over 40 years.

Our resident scientist Dr Chris Smith joins us to explain the latest developments which could mean the battle against cancer has taken another leap forward.

Showbiz gal-about-town Bev Lyons gives us our weekly catch-up on what's hot and what's not .

Maps help us understand the world and tell our stories, but author of 'On The Map', Simon Garfield explains why they also show where we're going.

As more of us are turning to customer reviews to make decisions, The List's Donald Reid will tell us how to sort through the star ratings - and write a good review yourself!

Research suggests less and less children are supporting the same football team as their father, lured by the glamour of the bigger teams. So how do you convince your kids to cheer for the same side as you? Jim Gellately and Lawrence Broadie join Fred to find out.

Thought I can do it… Then - Naw a canny as my head touched the side of the mountain and I looked down and there (well below me) were the remains of a helicopter lost in a winterÌýwhite out in an abortive and unavailing attempt to save a lady climber.

Ìý

I got aÌýknee trembler, the boom of my heart was deafening and theÌýsweat on my brow did not ooze... it spurted. What a high when I made it back up to safety. I’ve climbed it since.
