Lauren takes a closer look at the best of the day's releases in New Music Monday, plus she has Benjamin Francis Leftwich live in session.

Benjamin Francis Leftwich is live in session playing tracks from his new LP In The Open. The follow up to 2011 release of Leftwich's debut full length album 'Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm' with songs that revealed a new rising hope for the great tradition of British songwriting talent. Fast forward two years and he has toured the world, had Top 40 albums both sides of the Atlantic, and is still driven by his pursuit of the perfect song. Ben has spent the summer touring the world including the US, Canada and Australia as well as playing a string of festival dates including Green Man, T In The Park, Hop Farm and Reading/Leeds festival.
