Ken Bruce presents a special Friday Night is Music Night dedicated to children's favourites.
How times and tastes change! Ken trawls the 大象传媒 Archive for memories of Children's Hour and Muffin the Mule whilst the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra performs music from The Simpsons, Black Beauty, Wallace and Gromit, Toy Story, Batman, Captain Scarlett and Pirates of the Caribbean.
The 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra conducted by their Principal conductor Keith Lockhart are joined by theatre stars - Anna-Jane Casey and Tim Flavin and Harry the Piano. Songs include selections from Mary Poppins, the Little Mermaid and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The concert was recorded at the Hackney Empire last October and first broadcast 16th November 2012.
