Abu Qatada Human Rights

Nihal asks whether you applaud the court decision to allow Abu Qatada to stay in the UK. And photographer Pablo Bartholomew and artist Ashok Mistry talk about their new exhibition.

At 10am, do you applaud the court decision to allow Abu Qatada to stay in the UK? The Muslim Cleric Abu Qatada is due to be released from prison later today. The Special Immigration Appeals Commission decided his trial in Jordan might not be fair because evidence obtained by the torture of others could be used. However, this is a man that has been described as a "truly dangerous individual" and a "key player" in Al Qaeda. He was convicted in absence for planning bomb attacks in his native Jordan. Should a man like this be given human rights protection in the UK?

After 11, photographer Pablo Bartholomew and artist Ashok Mistry talk about their new exhibition in which they've attempted to capture the essence of Britishness in photographs. But what does 'Britishness' actually mean? Does it involve hoisting the Union Jack in your back garden, wearing the poppy, supporting the England cricket team, or eating traditional British food everyday?

Later in the show, is the UK a good place to celebrate Diwali?
