Calyx and Teebee

Calyx and Teebee take charge of Radio 1's Essential Mix.

Calyx & Teebee are Larry Cons and Torgeir Byrknes. They've been making music as a duo, and as solo artists, since the late nineties.

Labels like Moving Shadow and Metalheadz have put out their music. And their tunes have also popped up on games like Midnight Club and Grand Theft Auto 3.

They signed exclusively to Andy C鈥檚 Ram Records earlier this year. And they鈥檝e just released their first album for the label called 鈥楢ll Or Nothing鈥�.

This excellent Essential Mix features new and classic drum & bass from artists including dBridge, Photek, Wilkinson and Dilinjah. House & techno from Trentemoller, Gui Boratto and Stimming. Hip-hop from the likes of The Roots, J Dilla and Roots Manouva. And even soundtrack music from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
