Strictly Personal

Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman plays more classic dance music tracks from the past 50 years. Hear about Len's diamond-smuggling friend Hank and why Gene Kelly is his hero.

In this final programme in the series, Len shares his love of dances that aren't formally classed as Latin or ballroom but are still performed all round the world, such as the salsa, lindy hop and the American Smooth.

We hear about his diamond smuggling dancing friend Hank, and why Gene Kelly is his hero. A favourite Kelly song and dance routine of Len's is Good Morning from Singing in the Rain. At one time in his life, Len played it every single morning - apparently it put him in a good mood for the rest of the day! Len used to copy the way Kelly danced with his shirt sleeves rolled up in order to look cool!

Artists featured include: The Beatles, Gene Kelly, Gloria Gaynor, Fats Waller and The Police.
