Her spokesman says she'll be treated and monitored for at least 48 hours. A young medical student who died from injuries she received two weeks ago when she was gang raped and tortured in Delhi has been cremated. Demonstrations and vigils have continued to be held across India and there have been widerspread demands for the government to take action. Sunitha Krishnan is herself a victim of rape and now an activist working to rescue women and children from prostitution. She asks why it has taken this widely reported incident for India to wake up to the fact that there is a rape in the country every minute.
