Oscar-nominated David O Russell and Peace

Edith chats to film director David O Russell, who has been Oscar-nominated for best film and best director for his film Silver Linings Playbook.

Edith is joined by the Oscar and Bafta nominated director David O' Russell whose films include Three Kings, I heart Huckabees, The Fighter, and most recently Silver Linings Playbook which is nominated for Best adapted screenplay in the 2013 Baftas. David will be talking through how he persuaded Jack White, Alabama Shakes, Led Zeppelin and Alt-J to allow tracks to be used in his film. Edith will also be getting to know Peace, a new four-piece from Birmingham being hailed as the future of Indie, and digging into The Memory Bank for your stories about relatives friending you on facebook. Your musical knowledge will be put to the test in The Last Word, where you have to identify an album from the last word in the final track, and so we can get an idea of what the 6 Music family looks like first thing in the morning, we'll be inviting you to send in your Bedhead pics, which will be immortalised in our bedhead gallery week-to-week.
