Reaction to the confirmation that the starting salary for police constables will be cut from 23,000 pounds a year to 19,000.

Victoria gets reaction to the confirmation by the Home Secretary that starting salary for police constables in England and Wales is to be cut by four thousand pounds to 19 thousand. Victoria hears from serving officers, the Police Federation and the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Also, in what's being called an 'historic step" by charities - women who have a strong family history of breast cancer could be offered preventative drugs by the NHS. Victoria hears from women who say they'd still rather have a masectomy - because the chances of success are better.
