Claude Nobs

Matthew spoke to Jethro Tull鈥檚 Ian Anderson, to the music journalist Pierre Perrone and to Ian Gillan of Deep Purple. Born 4 February 1936; died 10 January 2013 aged 76.

George Patterson

Last Word spoke to a representative of the Dalai Lama, Mr Thubten Samdup, and to the journalist Steve Turner. Born 19 August 1920; died 28 December 2012 aged 92.

Professor James Buchanan

Matthew spoke to the Director and co-founder of the Adam Smith Institute, Dr Eamonn Butler. Born 3 October 1919; died 9 January 2013 aged 93.

Midge Turk Richardson

Matthew spoke to her stepson Kevin Richardson. Born 26 March 1930; died 17 December 2012 aged 82.
