Joe returns to Shropshire to visit Ros and Michael, a couple who had set their sights on transforming an empty waste metal workshop into their very first home together. The dilapidated property narrowly escaped demolition, but they were determined to rescue it and turn it into their dream home. Now, sixteen months on, Joe returns to find Ros and Michael have been hit by more problems, but their passion for the place is far from wavering.
We also pay another visit to the iconic Grade II listed Park Hill Estate in Sheffield as tenants move in to newly-completed flats, and we catch up with empty property officer Matt Smith in his mission to save abandoned homes in Birmingham.
