It's been reported that people have been queuing overnight at the Indian Consulate in Birmingham because there's a rumour that the price of the Overseas Citizen of India card is about to rocket. Despite the long waiting time, many people are being turned away at the end of the day. The Consulate and the High Commission are refusing to comment on the situation with the OCI card which has fed the panic, and they have also refused to comment on what they are doing to deal with the queues.
