In the first of a new series Edi's guest is Detective Chief Superintendent John Carnochan who has been a police officer for over 30 years. In a spirited interview, he talks about his role as a detective in investigating serious crimes and conducting murder enquiries in Strathclyde as well as his responsibilities as a hostage negotiator. He also outlines his ambition for the Violence Reduction Unit and explains why he believes violence is preventable.
