Louise White sits in

Louise White sits in for Kaye Adams. New research shows that men can develop stress after witnessing a traumatic birth. Is it too much to expect men to be present at childbirth?

Research published by Oxford University has found that fathers who witness traumatic events in childbirth can bear mental scars including flashbacks and even Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Of course not every birth is as traumatic as these; but their findings raise an interesting question - is it a good idea for dads to be at the birth of their children?
Or for the good of everyone, should the delivery room be just for mums and medical staff?

Louise asks:
Should men be present at childbirth?

ALSO.
How can we get more girls interested in science?
