Mark Radcliffe presents Radio 2's folk and acoustic show, live from Salford Quays.
This week, Mark is joined by one of English folk music's most passionate and soulful musicians: Eliza Carthy, who's been a popular force for good in folk music for more than two decades.
Eliza, daughter of Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson, emerged on the public music scene 21 years ago and is marking the occasion with a new compilation album, book and tour.
Wayward Daughter chronicles Eliza's remarkable and varied career, which thus far includes her traditional and original work, her work with The Ratcatchers, various duos and groups with her esteemed parents, membership of The Imagined Village, and fruitful collaborations with Salsa Celtica and countless others.
This week, Eliza and guitarist David Delarre join Mark in the studio to perform some of her favourite songs.
