Jools is joined by French pop-rockers Phoenix with songs from their fifth album Bankrupt! and Malian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rokia Traore performs tracks from her John Parish produced album Beautiful Africa, which has her singing in her native languages of French and Bambara, as well as some in English.
Also on the show, from North Carolina and now Nashville, Eric Church, a country singer with Southern-rock leanings who has been described as 'an old-school outlaw with a new-school swagger'. He performs songs from his third album Chief.
Coming to chat to Jools, from legendary US band The Eagles, are Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh, who talk about their documentary charting their history and journey from country-rock to Hotel California and beyond.
Performing solo is Hampshire-born singer-songwriter Laura Marling, who debuts a track or two from her upcoming Ethan John produced solo album Once I Was An Eagle.
The legendary Petula Clark, whose career spans seven decades, and who has recently returned to the album chart with Lost In You, is in the studio to perform a couple of numbers.
Hotly tipped London duo AlunaGeorge, aka Aluna Francis and George Reid, are on hand with a couple of tunes from their upcoming Body Music album.
