Demand for accident and emergency departments is "out of control" according to the head of the health watchdog the CQC. David Prior says the system is "totally unsustainable", and we should close hospital beds to force people back into the community.
Should people be discouraged from going to A&E? Is it irresponsible to rely on it - instead of going to your GP?
Or do people have good reason to go straight to hospital? Is it a case of - when you're sick, anything goes?
