Serious questions are being asked about how a gang of men - from Pakistan and North Africa - were able to groom, rape, and abuse young white girls in Oxford.
Similar cases have been prosecuted in Blackburn, Rochdale, and other towns. So is it fair to bring race into this?
Does focusing on race - or religion - detract from the real issues? Powerful men preying on the weak? The difficulty victims have in coming forward? What about failures by the police, social workers, local authorities?
