Both clubs have plenty of pedigree in the competition; Huddersfield were beaten finalists in 2009, while Leeds have finished as runners-up in each of the last three seasons. The Rhinos reached the last 16 courtesy of a 28-12 victory against Castleford, while the Giants defeated Batley 13-4.
