Get Me To Gethsemane
Another chance to hear a programme first broadcast on Easter Sunday 2012 which focuses on the story of one woman whose understanding of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus has been forged through her personal experience of suffering and loss but also through her close relationship with a choir.听
听
Gauri Taylor Nayar is musical director of the Cathays Methodist Community Choir in Cardiff which takes part in church services, gives concerts and occasionally performs competitively.听 But to Gauri the choir is more than a singing group.听 It has proved to be a lifeline following the death of her young husband and her subsequent breakdown.听
听
In this programme, recorded during preparations for the choir鈥檚 Holy Week performance 鈥淕et Me to Gethsemane鈥, Gauri talks candidly about her experience of bereavement and personal loss and how it has deepened her understanding of letting go and giving all to God. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
