Brian Matthew selects more classics and rarities from pop's golden decade, with all the facts and figures and stories behind the songs from the 60s.

This week there's a Loose Connection tying 'A Song For Jeffrey' by Jethro Tull, 'Meet Me On The Ledge' by Fairport Convention and Nirvana's 'Rainbow Chaser' together - but can you guess what it is?

Among one of the many listener requests this week, we have ' Broken Hearted Pirates' by Simon Dupree and The Big Sound. The 1969 track was written by Miki Antony and arranged by Chris Gunning - whose close friend Dudley Moore actually played piano on the final release. Sadly, the band's own hatred for the song took precedence over the labels enthusiasm for it, and it disappeared without a trace; shortly before many of the band members also took their leave.
