Abi catches Tanya packing. Tanya reveals they鈥檙e leaving that night for Lauren to go into residential care near Exeter. Abi refuses to go. Max comforts Kirsty, assuming that she鈥檚 miscarried. Kirsty admits she was never pregnant and lied because she was afraid Max would leave. Disgusted, Max storms to Tanya鈥檚 house. Abi demands Tanya tell Max the truth, Tanya鈥檚 reluctant. In private, Max tells Tanya Kirsty lied about the baby, insisting now he鈥檚 no longer obliged to Kirsty he wants to be with Tanya. Tanya鈥檚 stunned but doesn鈥檛 mention they鈥檙e leaving and fibs that she鈥檒l think about it. Abi blurts out that Tanya鈥檚 going away and not coming back. Tanya informs Max they鈥檙e leaving on the last train and she鈥檚 selling Booty to fund professional care for Lauren. Max is hurt and won鈥檛 let her take his family away. Tanya insists Lauren could end up dead like Billie or Bradley and their relationship is to blame, citing Max鈥檚 affairs and her cancer. Max pleads they can change but Tanya won鈥檛 let their relationship continue to hurt their children. Tanya declares they both need to break their addiction to each other, swearing she鈥檒l leave and won鈥檛 look back. Kirsty arrives, drunk. Tanya鈥檚 adamant she doesn鈥檛 care what Kirsty鈥檚 done, she doesn鈥檛 want Max. Kirsty wails she loves Max but he throws her out. Lauren鈥檚 woken by the noise. Max relents and tells Lauren that Tanya鈥檚 taking her on a trip. When Lauren鈥檚 suspicious, Max reveals the truth. Lauren鈥檚 convinced to cooperate when Max admits they鈥檙e terrified for her. The family bid their goodbyes. Tanya tells Max she loves him and will be always be his. As Tanya, Lauren and Oscar leave the Square in a taxi, Tanya allows herself one last backward look to Max as they drive away.
