The Right Reverend Lorna Hood

The Right Reverend Lorna Hood
The Right Reverend Lorna Hood was named Moderator elect of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2012. She began her career as a probationer assistant in St Ninian鈥檚 Corstorphine Church, Edinburgh, and was ordained there in 1978. For over twenty years she served as Chaplain in the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, where she pioneered the pastoral care of women who had suffered miscarriages or lost babies.

In 2010 she became one of ten Chaplains to The Queen in Scotland. She has been a General Trustee of the Church of Scotland since 2001.

This year she has been included in the Woman鈥檚 Hour 聽鈥淧ower List鈥 of the top 100 most powerful women in the country.

Frankie Mulgrew is聽the son of the Irish comedian, Jimmy Cricket and, when he left school, Frankie followed his Dad onto the stand-up circuit under the name Frankie Doodle.聽 He鈥檚 appeared in pantomime, on TV shows, and holiday camps but last month, Frankie stood in front of a very different crowd when he became Father Frankie and was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest.聽 <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
