South Africa's Ernie Els lifted the famous Claret Jug last year when he took advantage of a dramatic collapse of form by Australia's Adam Scott in the final round. Scott has since gone on to win this year's Masters and is expected to challenge here, while there will be huge interest in England's Justin Rose, who became the first Englishman to win the US Open in 40 years with victory at the Merion course.
