The Care Quality Commission says over the last five years there's been a big rise in prescriptions for drugs used to treat ADHD. Are we too quick to put children on pills?
Are we too quick to dole out drugs like Ritalin to children? Or is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder just easier to identify? According to one newspaper, Dr Kathleen Turner, a writer and Oxford research scientist, says there's a tendency to medicalise things that in previous generation would have been a normal childhood problem.
