Live from the Edinburgh Festivals
Johnnie broadcasts live from the 大象传媒 at the Edinburgh Festivals and The Proclaimers remember the decade in My 70s.
Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Petra, Shep and Goldie.
This week he brings the show live from the 大象传媒 at the Edinburgh Festivals with a Scottish-infused Sounds of the 70s. The best of the 大象传媒 from the festivals will be celebrated, along with hits from the bands that called the highlands and lowlands their home during the decade.
The Proclaimers pick their favourite tunes in My 70s, a time when they were growing up in Auchtermuchty in Fife. Identical twins Charlie and Craig Reid formed punk bands at school before going on to achieve chart success with (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles and Letter From America. Last year saw the group celebrate their twenty fifth anniversary in music and release a new greatest hits collection.
Also on the show, Rod Stewart's electrifying concerts will be celebrated with sounds from the 大象传媒 archive, and a classic Scottish single will be added to Johnnie's Jukebox.
