Our first celebrity Fightback story features Shane Lynch, formerly of Boyzone, and his stolen Subaru racing car. Shane has given up a life of crooning to become a racing driver with Japspeed. All was going well, until last year thieves broke into the garage of his racing team and stole Shane's custom-made racing car before driving off down the motorway. Determined to get the car back, Shane and the team launched a Facebook appeal for sightings. The online racing community sprang into action, and soon there were sightings coming in thick and fast. One race fan even posted up video of the car speeding down the motorway. The net was closing in on the thieves. We find out what happened when it began to dawn on the robbers that they had a car that was just too hot to handle.

Jewellers are aware that they could be targeted by armed criminals at any time, and they are taught not to fight back - advice Raj Pattni ignores. Raj and his family have spent years building up their jewellers in Leceister, and Raj isn't a man to let anyone just walk into his shop and take his valuables. Caught on CCTV, we see Raj risking his life as armed intruders break into his shop and start to ransack his jewellery cabinets. Raj tries to keep the robbers at bay by swinging at them with a baseball bat. The gang eventually flee, but not before Raj smashes the windscreen of their getaway van with the baseball bat. Raj still feels a sense of pride in the way he fought back, but admits he took a serious risk that day and could have been seriously injured.

There are plenty of ways to help the police without people putting themselves in harm's way. CCTV often helps police bring criminals to justice. But could it be smarter? Julia investigates a 'smart' CCTV system that enables cameras itself to recognise a face entering the premises and alert the business owner if it is a known criminal on a police watch list. It's 'space age stuff', as Julia remarks, and controversial as it raises serious questions about our rights to privacy. But it could make a real difference to small businesses as they seek to protect themselves from hardened criminals.

Finally, we end with that suburban nightmare - the cleaner who steals. Stephen and Lynn Thair had their suspicions that their cleaner was stealing from them, so Stephen decided to set a trap. He created a makeshift spyware camera on his computer and a left a rather visible wallet with a 10 pound note inside as bait. Question is, would the mysterious thief fall for the bait, and would it be the trusted cleaner caught on camera?
