As Red Tractor Week gets underway, we find pork chops labelled as British - and with a Red Tractor logo - which were actually produced abroad. What does it mean for consumers?
Ever since the horsemeat scandal at the start of this year, the British meat industry has been urging consumers to buy British, and in particular to look for the Red Tractor logo. It's been reported that British meat sales have increased, as consumers have responded. But just how solid is the Red Tractor guarantee? Not infallible, it seems. A 大象传媒 investigation has discovered a pack of pork chops labelled as British - and with a Red Tractor logo - which were not produced in Britain, and in fact probably came from a Dutch farm. What does it mean for consumers?
And Farming Today visits the Kelso Ram Sales, as the tupping season gets underway.
