Janice Forsyth and guests review Filth starring James McAvoy, Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine with Cate Blanchett, and Regency romp Austenland.

We'll be reviewing James McAvoy in the screen adaptation of Irvine Welsh's novel, Filth; Cate Blanchett in Woody Allen's latest, Blue Jasmine; Regency romp Austenland- and we'll mark the 40th anniversary of The Wicker Man.

We'll also hear about the film makers planning to turn Glasgow into Film City, a world-class production centre ....

It's not just cinema today, though! Those of a certain generation will remember the charming illustrated books of American children's author Richard Scarry- and for the first time in almost 20 years there's a new one, discovered after his death and completed by his son, Huck. We'll talk to him later.

AND: This weekend Glasgow is holding the first of three Beethoven Festivals. Professor of Music at King's College, London, John Deathridge, will be telling us why he thinks it's right that the city is devoting so much time to this particular composer.
