Comedian Jack Dee joins Janice to talk about going back on tour after a six-year break, plus singer-songwriter Devon Sproule plays live in the studio.
Jack Dee: Known for his dry sense of humour and Victor Meldrew-esque approach to life complete with an almost permanently dour face, some would say it's about time Jack Dee visited Scotland - and he is! Jack joins Janice to talk about his experiences back on tour after a 6 year break.
Singer- songwriter Devon Sproule will be playing live in the studio, showcasing tracks from her eighth album- and she's still only 31 years old!
Andy Warhol isn't a figure we'd associate with authority and institutions but tomorrow sees the opening in the Scottish Parliament of the first ever exhibition of Warhol's work curated by a political institution. 'Pop, Power and Politics' displays some of the artist's portraits of iconic politicians and other powerful figures. Matt Wrbican from the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, who worked with the Parliament on the exhibition, joins Janice.
90% of everything we consume is brought to us over the seas and yet it's an industry about which we know very little. Author Rose George took to the seas for her new book "Deep Sea and Foreign Going - Inside Shipping, the Invisible Industry that Brings you 90% of Everything". She'll drop anchor for a while this afternoon to talk to tell us more.
And a visual arts festival with a difference : Imagine this in your mind's eye: an arts festival featuring both local and international work transforming the small market town in Fife in which it takes place by using unusual venues such as, an ex-jail, the railway station, the town's charity shops and medieval alleyways, and a former grain silo. Artistic Director of the Cupar Arts Festival Gayle Nelson and artist Jacqueline Bulnes will be in to paint Janice the picture.
