The Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra ... the list goes on of major world orchestras who have already invited this young Russian virtuoso to perform with them. Fresh from a recital at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw two days before, Trifonov performs in the intimate space of the Wigmore Hall in a month that also includes dates in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and France. He starts with a piece Stravinsky wrote to fulfil his first recording contract, and includes Schoenberg's milestone of atonality, serene beauty from Ravel and fireworks from Schumann.
