Show of Hands in session

An hour of folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond, including a live session by popular English roots outfit Show of Hands.

Mark Radcliffe presents an hour of the best folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond, including the latest releases, classic tracks and news from the folk world.

This week, Devon's Show of Hands play live in our Salford studio. Steve Knightley, Phil Beer and Miranda Sykes look ahead to a 29-date autumn tour and perform tracks from their thirteenth studio album, Wake The Union.

Formed originally in 1991, Show of Hands have become one of the biggest acts on the British folk scene, earning fans and plaudits for their forceful songs and rousing live sets. For more than 20 years, they've notably remained committed to playing small country venues as well as big concert halls, not least the Royal Albert Hall, which they've sold out on three occasions.
