The Junior Apprentices
Over the last couple of months聽the programme has been following the progress of the Junior Apprentices, Mehreen Akthar, Peter Doyle and Brittany Stead. The three young visually impaired people secured a week's work experience at the offices of Action for Blind People in Leeds with the help of a grant from Kirklees Youth Council.
During that week they were charged with planning an event to present to other young visually impaired people, their sighted siblings, parents and Action for Blind People staff and volunteers.
Their big event took place in Huddersfield on Sat 12th October 2013 and our reporter Tony Shearman was there.
