The first half an hour of the programme focused on concerns about trust in the police after the IPCC questioned the honesty of officers who met with Andrew Mitchell MP in the wake of the Plebgate Scandal. A former police officer and Labour MP Michael Meacher discuss.

After simulcasting Question Time Stephen Nolan and John Pienaar took calls on the big talking points. First, the hike in energy prices by British Gas, followed by whether the UK can cope with more immigration. Two callers spoke of the extreme barriers they're facing in bringing their foreign girlfriends to live in the UK.

After midnight the biggest response came from whether teachers' pay should be performance related. We had a big response from current teachers most of whom believed that it is too difficult to compare one teacher against another and the bureaucracy would to be impossible to implement.

The final half an hour featured a fascinating interaction between Bulgarian immigrant Iglika, who spoke of the hard working nature of her people and doubted how many of the 7 million population would actually come to the UK anyway. Various callers challenged her and spoke of the lack of resources to cope with an influx of immigrants.
