Alexander Stoddart
Edi Stark is in conversation with sculptor Alexander Stoddart.
In a highly entertaining programme, the Queen's sculptor in Scotland who reveals he was conceived under a piano, talks to Edi Stark at his beloved home in Paisley. He explains why he is proud to be 'radically backward looking' and how he has coped with being detested by some critics. His sculptures of David Hume, James Clerk Maxwell and Robert Burns have been harshly criticised in some quarters but it seems that the art establishment is changing its mind about an artist with the courage of conviction.
