Oprah Winfrey is an American media owner, presenter, producer, philanthropist and actor.听听She is best known for her award-winning talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show.听 She has been hailed by Life magazine as the most influential woman of her generation.听听She has recently launched the OWN television network, magazine, radio and website.听 Oprah joins Jenni to discuss her latest role, as Gloria Gaines, in The Butler; her memories of the civil rights movement in America; and to explain what drives her ambition and her give her view of power.

The Chilean presidential election of 2013 will be held on Sunday 17 November 2013 and both the leading candidates are women.听听Michelle Bachelet & Evelyn Matthei听 share not only a present but a past. They were the daughters of air force generals who were once friends but ended up on opposite sides of the country's deep political divide.听 Now the women are听campaigning against each other.听 Jenni is joined by听听Carmen Sep煤lveda, PhD Student at UCL鈥檚 Institute of the Americas and Alan Angell, Emeritus Fellow in Latin American Politics at St Antony鈥檚 College, Oxford University to look at the lives and politics of Michelle Bachelet & Evelyn Matthei.

Manchester鈥檚 two big professional orchestras have come up with a unique fundraising idea for this year鈥檚 Children in Need - an orchestral 鈥渂attle of the sexes鈥�.听 The 大象传媒 Philharmonic and The Halle divided themselves into two new orchestras; one all-male and the other all-female,听and together with five male and five female singers they鈥檝e recorded classical versions of two recent pop hits.听听The men recorded One Direction鈥檚 What Makes You Beautiful woven into Verdi鈥檚 鈥楢nvil Chorus鈥�.听 And the women tackled Little Mix鈥檚 Wings combined with Wagner鈥檚 鈥楻ide of the Valkyries鈥�.听 Judy Merry went to the recording of the women鈥檚 track.听听
