This week John welcomes Dr Tim Armstrong who hails from Seattle. Presently, Tim is based on the Isle of Skye as a research fellow and sociolinguist at the University of the Highlands and Islands. A week ago,Tim scooped the Saltire Society's prestigious "first book" prize with his book "Air Cuan Dubh Drilseach" (On a Glittering Black Sea). He is also a former member of a punk band and in this programme he will choose his four personal favourite songs. We'll also hear a variety of music ranging from traditional country and western stars to folk, Gaelic and Celtic performers.
